Spa Therapist

Overview

Perform all treatments safely and professionally for Guests. To operate and work following the Spa Policies & Procedures and SOP.

Job Responsibilities:

• To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and nametag and following good hygiene habits at all times. Make-up is a requirement for female therapists & hair as per the standard.
• Perform professional services according to standards with attention to detail and in a prompt timely manner.
• Advise guests of spa service programs, treatments and products available at the spa.
• Assist in promoting spa & body care products to guests and offer full product knowledge. This is part of the treatment standards to recommend products.
• Ensure all treatment rooms are fully set up before beginning treatment according to standards and procedures. Request, and collect stock & supplies by minimum stock levels.
• Assist in keeping accurate written records of treatments and products used given repeat guests.
• Participate in ongoing training, with assistance from your designated trainer and continue to improve your skill.
• To replenish all necessary items in the male/female spa promptly.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the facility
• Constantly maintain up-to-date knowledge of the personal services performed and any revisions in the skin care products or procedures used.
• Review appointments after completing each service and shift
• Assist in the coordination of spa treatments with other spa programs.
• Serve as a catalyst to promote spa services to Members and
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned – e.g. reception, wet areas.

Experiences & Qualifications

• High school graduate
• Completed state-required therapy anatomy and physiology course or internationally recognized therapy qualification
• Minimum of two years’ experience in performing therapy services.
• Qualification in additional alternative therapies
• CIDESCO Qualified or equivalent
• CIBTAC Qualified or equivalent
• 2 years’ service experience in a five-star Spa
• Internationally qualified therapist
• Qualified therapist in facial, hot stone massage, Thai massage, and foot reflexology
